Michelle runs a successful cake company named The CupCake Tarts which was established 13 years ago. “It all started as a child, my mother shared her secret recipes with me and it was then I realized I wanted to become a sugar connoisseur.
Let's face it, is there anything better than seeing a child smile while eating a cookie or a slice of their birthday cake? Decades later, my sister and I opened a small coffee shop at our decor business and started selling cupcakes. These proved to be so popular and requests for decorated cakes started. Since then my passion has been creating new and exciting wedding cakes, 3D sculpted cakes, cake pops, cupcakes and biscuits with only the best ingredients. I bake delicious confections to share my love of baking.”
Michelle is self-taught and her inspiration and talent comes from her passion to create and make people smile.

AMBASSADOR - MARLENE SCHOEMAN
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Marlene Schoeman has been appointed by Cake Flora as a brand ambassador.
Marlene, an artist by trade, decided to do a few children’s fondant characters on cupcakes at a children’s art exhibition and the rest is history. Marlene started doing cake art in 2010 and had the first of her 6 books on cake art and cupcake decorations published in 2012. Marlene loves giving cake art workshops and demonstrations from her studio at home in Ladybrand.
As a passionate cake artist, Marlene has featured on “KWELA” and KYKNET where she has been able to illustrate her cake artwork.
